Drawing the Figure in Charcoal & Pastel

This course explores the use of charcoal and pastel as an ideal medium to use when drawing the figure. Establish the gesture, flow and form with spontaneity to create the base on which add volume, structure and surface. Its unrivalled flexibility enables you to draw with freedom and expression, lending your drawing authenticity and originality.

• Anatomy of the figure.
• Seeing the big shapes
• Seeing the form through value.
• Edit the details.
• Selecting the highlight and focus.

Both charcoal & pastels are messy mediums so come suitably attired!
